Dr Md. Safiullah has joined Chanakya National Law University, Patna in March 2020. He is founder and convener of “Centre for Innovation, Incubation & Legal Entrepreneurship”. He has done Ph.D. in Management, thesis titled “Efficacy of Political Advertising – A Study of Indian Elections” from the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad, MBA with a specialization in Marketing from Birla Institute of Technology Mesra and BBM with a specialization in Business Management from A. N. College, Patna. He qualified UGC-NET in June & December 2012.

He has a blend of Corporate & Academic experience. In the corporate, he worked in Colgate-Palmolive (India) Limited as Customer Development Officer. Before joining Chanakya National Law University, Patna. Dr. Md. Safiullah was working as Assistant Professor in CMS Business School, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) Bengaluru, Karnataka. Apart from academic responsibilities in CMS Business School, he also served as an internal auditor of CMS Business School, subject coordinator and the members of the Research and Publication Committee.

His research interests are in the area of Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Social media (Twitter & Facebook), News media, Political Marketing, and Election Campaign. He has published various research articles in ESCI, ABDC and Scopus indexed journals. His research work has appeared in Asia Pacific Management Review, Int. J. of Business Excellence, Int. J. of Business Forecasting and Marketing Intelligence, Int. J. of Economics and Business Research and in many more. He has presented many research papers in international and national conferences. Dr Md. Safiullah current research investigates how political candidates, political parties, and marketing consultants are using Big data to shape voters electoral choice and how such behaviours’ are explained by psychological factors. He is also reviewer of the Asia Pacific Management Review (Elsevier) and Spanish Journal of Marketing – ESIC (Emerald Insight), Journal of Marketing Communications- Taylor & Francis and many more.
