Prof. (Dr) Nehaluddin Ahmad is currently serving as a Senior Professor of Law at Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, Brunei Darussalam. He has served as a Professor, Visiting Professor, Associate Professor, and Lecturer at several reputed academic institutions in India, Tanzania, Malaysia, and Brunei Darussalam. He has held a range of posts, such as Dean Faculty of Law, Director of the Centre for Technology and Legal Research, and Senate member of the University. He holds a LL.D. (Doctor of Laws) from Meerut University, India, an LL.M. (Master of Laws in IT and Telecom. Law) from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, and also holds a BSc. MA, LL. B, LL.M. from Lucknow University, India. He has several years of professional experience, including teaching Law subjects and legal practice. He was admitted to the Bar Council of India (UP) in 1976. He has practised as an advocate at Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court, India, for a couple of years and has worked as a solicitor in Singapore for a few years. He is a prolific legal researcher and has contributed more than 200 research papers in international refereed journals in the USA, UK, India, South Korea, Germany, Netherlands, Canada, Malaysia, Indonesia, New Zealand, and Australia, and most of them are published in WoS/Scopus/ ERA / indexed publications. Some articles are cited/quoted in the High Court’s/ Supreme Court Judgments/ proceedings, European Commission (Directorate-General Justice, Freedom, and Security), and the Special Committee on Financial Crimes Tax Evasion and Tax Avoidance (TAX3) of the European Parliament. Apart from these citations, several articles have been cited by renowned academicians from elite institutions of international repute, such as the University of Oxford, Yale University, California State University, University of Cambridge, University of Massachusetts, Cornell University USA, University of Tennessee US, UNSW Sydney, Griffith University Australia, National University of Singapore, SOAS University of London. Along with serving on the editorial boards of several refereed and Scopus-indexed journals, he is the editor of a refereed journal. He authored and edited more than a dozen books and several book chapters, which were indexed in Scopus.
